Reconcile a bank account
Upload the statement and link the ledger
Confirm the client bank account exists in the client profile and the engagement books are imported. Open Reconciliation → Bank Reconciliation → Upload Statements. Locate the correct account card and upload the supported statement file. Open Link Ledgers. In the same account row, choose its corresponding book ledger from Select bank ledger…. Verify that the linked ledger is correct before matching. If the list is empty, return to Data Import rather than linking a superficially similar account.
Auto-match and clear residual items
Open Reconciliation and select the bank account. Click Run Auto-Match. Review how many items matched by reference and by date/amount, and how many remain on each side. Open In Bank, Not in Books or In Books, Not in Bank. Click Match on a residual item. In the drawer, inspect the suggested counterpart or search the full list. Reconcile Form 26AS TDS with the books
This workspace is for tax deducted from the client and recorded as a receivable/credit in its own books. It is distinct from preparing the client's deductor TDS returns.
Load Form 26AS and link book accounts
Open Reconciliation → TDS Reconciliation → Upload 26AS. Click Upload 26AS PDF and select the correct financial-year PDF. Wait for parsing, then verify the displayed taxpayer identity, FY and TDS/TCS/default counts against the source. Never publish these identity values in a screenshot. Open Link TDS Accounts. Select every book ledger that represents TDS receivable/credit for the client. Suggested ledgers are aids only; verify their balance and nature. Remove any incorrect link before continuing.

Correct external source, entity and period verified. Book ledgers and external counterparties mapped by evidence, not name alone. Auto-matches and AI suggestions reviewed rather than accepted blindly. All residual differences explained, captured or escalated. BRS/export and source lineage retained in the audit file.
