India Audit Lens
Open a client’s engagements, Returns, and filing workspaces
Use Audit for client engagements and Returns for live GST, TDS/TCS, and ITR work. The firm Returns control room aggregates work; preparation, review, filing, and evidence remain in the exact client return.

Before you begin
Open the correct client and confirm its registrations and profile details. For audit work, confirm acceptance, independence, financial year, and engagement type. For Returns, know the GSTIN, TAN, PAN, financial or assessment year, period, and form. Use the return’s filing history—not a dashboard label—as evidence of external acceptance.
Review client engagements
Open the client and choose Audit. Filter engagements by status. Open the intended engagement and confirm FY, type, period, and status. Click Create Engagement only when client acceptance, independence, and setup are ready.
The Lifecycle tab governs the client relationship, service mandate, appointment, rotation, and exit. It does not create, edit, activate, close, or migrate Engagement records. Complete the applicable lifecycle gates first, then use the existing Engagement workflow for execution.
An empty list means no matching engagement is visible under the current filter/permissions; it does not mean the client record is missing.
Open Returns
Choose Returns. Select the return family: GST; TDS / TCS; or ITR. Confirm the required registration and period context: GST: GSTIN, financial year, and return period; TDS/TCS: active TAN registration, financial year, quarter, and form; ITR: taxpayer/PAN, assessment year, form/entity qualification, and case. Open the return-specific Overview/Register guide before preparing or reviewing data.
Status language matters:
A Live module badge identifies GST, TDS/TCS, or ITR as an available product family. Operational controls apply to the current return action: validation, approval, connection, official-portal route, recovery, acknowledgement, or reconciliation.
Prepared means internal data/artifacts are ready for review. Approved means the required internal reviewer accepted the current version. Filed is used only when an independently bound external acknowledgement exists. Completed/Handed off may mean an artifact was downloaded for a portal/provider, not that the government portal accepted it.
Find other filing work
The separate Filings page currently lists future work areas:
Tax-Audit forms; ROC / MCA; and Filing calendar.
These cards do not open a filing workflow. Use the working engagement, reporting, Compliance Calendar, or live Returns area for the task you need.
The global Returns destination is the firm control room and is separate from this client page.
Expected result
You reach the correct engagement or live tax workspace with the intended client, registration, year, period, and form visible. Any filed status is supported by the acknowledgement recorded in that return’s history.
