India Audit Lens
Manage client users, permanent documents, data sources, and Tally snapshots
The client Team page manages client-portal identities, not the firm’s engagement team. Documents, Data Sources, and Tally Bridge maintain client evidence and data lineage.

Add a client user
Open the client and choose Team. Click the add-member action. Enter Email, Full Name, optional Phone, and Designation. Choose Client Admin or Client User. Set the initial password required by the current flow. Use a unique temporary password of at least eight characters and transmit it only through the firm’s approved secure channel. Click Create User.
A Client Admin can access client-admin settings; a Client User has the narrower client role. Neither role should expose firm-internal work or another client’s records.
Use Edit to change full name, phone, designation, or role. Use the password-reset dialog only after verifying the person’s identity. Password and confirmation must match and must never appear in a screenshot, chat, ticket, or AuditIQ conversation.
Deactivate removes access immediately. Review active requests/responsibilities first. Use Show inactive and Reactivate only after the person’s access is re-approved.
Maintain the Permanent Audit File
Open Documents. Review the client-identity summary and the three checklists: Entity & Registration Documents; Financial & Audit Documents; and Statutory Compliance Documents. Click the upload action beside the exact checklist item. Select an accepted PDF, spreadsheet, Word, image, CSV, or ZIP file. Wait for the uploaded filename to appear and the count to update. Click the filename or download action to verify the file.
Multiple files can exist against a checklist label. The current page does not replace an old file automatically. Use Delete only after confirming the file, version/retention requirement, and whether another copy is authoritative.
Review Data Sources
Open Data Sources to see Connection, Adapter, active/inactive status, Last Sync, Sync Status, record count, and created date.
The current client page is a read-only source register. It does not expose an add/edit/test action. Configure Tally through Tally Bridge and import engagement data through the engagement Data Import workflow. Treat Never, Failed, or stale Last Sync as a readiness issue.
Use the client Tally Bridge
Open Tally Bridge. Review linked companies and their connection/sync state. Click Refresh when checking current state. To capture evidence, start Take snapshot for the intended company. Select the correct start/end date and enter a meaningful label, such as a reporting-close or pre-audit snapshot. Click Take snapshot. Wait for the snapshot to move from Taking to Ready; do not assume the background bundle and normalization succeeded from the start message alone. Use Lock for litigation only for an approved preservation purpose. Unlocking a preserved snapshot changes its evidence protection…
Expected result
Client users have only their approved portal role; permanent-document checklist counts reflect the uploaded evidence; source rows show current sync lineage; and a successful Tally snapshot reaches Ready with the intended period/label.
