Before you begin
Open the correct firm workspace and confirm the setting you intend to change. Check that your role allows the action. Gather the approved firm, user, template, rate, branding, or integration details needed for the task. Review any effect on active users, clients, engagements, returns, or reports before saving.
What is not exposed to firm users
New Audit Report Template, Upload DOCX Template or an equivalent Settings action. A list of firm-created IAR/CARO templates with create, clone, version, default, activate, archive or delete controls. A Report Studio selector that applies a firm-uploaded reusable DOCX template to a new engagement. A firm-user editor for the report service's SectionTemplate records.
Reusable report-template creation and section-template management are not currently available to firm users in this area. Internal support tooling is not a substitute for a firm-owned template library and should not be treated as one.
Safe current workflow
Maintain the firm's approved IAR/CARO methodology in its controlled document repository. Configure report branding and signatory defaults in Settings. Complete the engagement's evidence, findings, opinion assessment, financial statements and readiness work. Generate the engagement report in Report Studio. Edit each necessary report section and statutory clause for that engagement. Preview and compare the complete report with the controlled firm methodology. Do not tell a firm user to use Django admin, a platform-admin route, direct API/database changes or server file access to create a report template. Those are unsupported and may breach tenant, security, versioning and audit-trail controls.
Expected result
Users understand the distinction between letter-template overrides, visual report branding, per-engagement report editing and the currently unavailable firm-level reusable audit-report template builder. No unsupported administrative path is used.
