Placeholder syntax
Use one opening and one closing brace: {companyname}. Keep the exact lowercase name and underscore characters. Do not translate the token or insert spaces inside it. Do not replace a shared token with a real client's value. Placeholders may appear inside simple HTML such as <strong{companyname}</strong.
Current placeholder reference
The Settings notice shows representative placeholders, not a promise that arbitrary names will be resolved. A new token requires product support in the relevant generator.
Safely change a section containing placeholders
Copy the system section to the firm's controlled methodology working paper. Mark every {placeholder} before editing the surrounding sentence. Edit the wording in Document Templates. Expand View default content and compare the tokens character by character. Click Apply, then Save template. Generate a synthetic output containing distinctive test values for every required source field. Search the generated document for { and } and verify every substituted value against the synthetic engagement. HTML precautions
The editor accepts HTML content. Prefer the structures already present in the system text: paragraphs, ordered/unordered lists, list items and bold emphasis. Do not paste scripts, embedded remote content, complex Word HTML, hidden text or uncontrolled styling. Always inspect the actual generated artifact because the short card preview is not a layout preview.
Expected result
Every supported token resolves from the correct engagement source, no real client value is stored in the shared template, and the generated document remains grammatically, legally and visually correct.
