India Audit Lens
Manage compliance deadlines and recurring reminders
The Compliance area tracks firm deadlines; it does not file the underlying return. Any firm user can work/view status, while adding/deleting requires manager-or-above access.

Before you begin
Open the correct firm workspace and confirm your access to the operational area. Identify the authoritative source for the record or figure you are reviewing. Check the availability note before relying on an action or export. Keep the supporting firm, client, deadline, document, or approval evidence available.
Find and prioritise work
Open Compliance → Dashboard/List View. Search client/title and filter Status/Category; review priority, owner, due date, internal target and overdue/days-left badges. Use Calendar with month/Today controls and open a day chip. Use Overdue for slipped items. Use By Client or By Type for current-FY grouped review; note their 100-row window.
Add a deadline or recurring series
Manager-or-above clicks Add Deadline. Select one/many clients, title and statutory due date. Add category, priority, internal target, owner/reviewer and reminder chips. For recurrence, turn on Repeats, choose frequency/interval/end and weekend adjustment. Read the live preview and click Add; verify created count/instances.
Review statutory holidays/extensions separately; a generated schedule should be updated when an authoritative due date changes.
Update, complete, reopen, or delete
Open the row/edit drawer and change status with notes/evidence. For Filed/Completed, enter the independently verified acknowledgement reference. On a recurring item, choose occurrence/following/all scope before saving. Reopen only when the completion evidence is invalid or more work is required; record why. Managers delete obsolete items only after choosing the exact series scope and confirming no retained evidence/history requirement.
Work with a lifecycle-linked deadline
Open the relevant client and choose Lifecycle. Open the appointment or exit case and find the statutory filing or notice requirement. Follow Open in Compliance Calendar to the linked deadline. Maintain the due date, owner, reviewer, reminders, and operational status in the Calendar. When filing or service is complete, record the authoritative acknowledgement or evidence in the Calendar. The lifecycle requirement retains its legal context and link to that record. Return to the lifecycle case and confirm the requirement reflects the current calendar state.
Do not create a manual duplicate for the same lifecycle obligation. If the computed date needs a professional correction, document the basis and update the one linked Calendar record.

Expected result
Every deadline has correct client/period/due date, accountable owner/reviewer, traceable status and filing evidence; recurring edits/deletions affect only the intended scope. A lifecycle obligation and its Calendar deadline remain linked without maintaining competing due dates.
