Review the current state

Navigate to Settings → General → Subscription. Confirm the page title Subscription & billing. Review the current plan name and status: trial, active, past due, suspended, cancelled, expired, or other state shown. Check the end/trial date and remaining time. Read every usage meter and compare current usage with the plan limit. Review included features/entitlements and any upgrade prompt. Inspect the subscription/billing history for plan, amount, status, and effective dates.

Do not infer entitlement only from the plan name. The live firm status, feature flags, and usage limits control availability.

Investigate an unexpected usage value

Refresh the page and confirm the correct firm workspace. Identify the exact metric, for example engagements in the applicable year. Compare the count with the corresponding register and the plan's counting basis. Check for archived, test, duplicate, or recently created records where relevant. Preserve screenshots only after masking firm, dates, amounts, and identifiers. Contact support with the metric name and safe record references if the discrepancy remains.

Never delete evidence-bearing work merely to reduce a usage count.

Handle trial, expiry, past-due, or suspended states

Record the displayed status and date. Check which read/write actions remain available; do not assume a warning is only cosmetic. Inform the managing partner/billing owner before time-sensitive work is blocked. Use Choose Plan, Renew, or the available action only with purchasing authority. After payment or support resolution, refresh and verify the status and affected feature.

Expected result

The firm can explain its current plan, effective status, remaining capacity, renewal/expiry timing, and recorded billing changes without exposing payment or firm-sensitive details.
