Entitlement and conditions

  • 173Chapter V of the Finance Act, 1994 is omitted, save as otherwise provided in this Act, including the section 174 saving of amendment effects.

Chapter V of the Finance Act, 1994 is omitted, subject to what this Act otherwise preserves. The saving therefore matters when considering earlier obligations, liabilities, proceedings and remedies. Section 174 expressly addresses the effects of that amendment; omission alone does not establish that an earlier liability has been discharged. The section commenced on 1 July 2017.[1]
