  • 151(3)The prohibited debtor may pay the debt to the proper officer. That payment is deemed payment to the defaulter.

Rule 151 specifies attachment by written prohibition for certain debts, corporate shares and movable property outside the defaulter’s possession. The restriction differs according to the asset: debt payment, share transfer or dividends, or delivery of movable property. The order must be affixed and sent to the specified recipient. A debtor may instead pay the proper officer with deemed discharge towards the defaulter.[1]
