GST›CGST Rules, 2017›Chapter I, Preliminary

Rule 2 defines five expressions used throughout the CGST Rules, each "unless the context otherwise requires". "Act", "Form" and "section" tie the Rules to the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 and to the Forms appended to the Rules. "Special Economic Zone" is borrowed from the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. Clause (e) gives any other expression the meaning the Act assigns to it.[1]
